Selling Punch Cards
Punch Cards are a unique type of product, in that you can create a virtual "punch card" with a set number of "punches" on it. It's like a temporary membership based on a maximum number of visits, as opposed to a membership that's on a recurring fee. These punches allow the customer to check-in as many times as their punch card limit allows for.
Since a punch card is a type of product, setting them up and selling them is a snap.

    Start by creating a new product

    Set the name to something like "50 Punches" or "50 Punch Card". The number serves as the maximum number of visits allowed on the punch card.

    Set the product type to "Punch Card"
  4. 4.
    Set a price
  5. 5.
    Save the product!
Donezo. To sell the punch card, we'll use the Invoicing P.O.S.

    Create a new Invoice
  2. 2.
    Select the 50 Punches product you just created
  3. 3.
    Select a customer
  4. 4.
    Create the invoice!
When the invoice is created, it'll also create a punch card for the member. You can view the punch card from the invoice, or from the members profile. When the member checks-in, it will:
  • creates a checkin for the member
  • deduct a punch from the punch card
Once the punch card has reached it's maximum number of punches, it's status will be "full". A member can have multiple punch cards at once, and SK accounts for those when the member checks in.
